Villa Sol y Mar, in Bali's Bukit peninsula, is a stylish and modern 4 bedroom luxury villa. Villa Sol y Mar, overlooks from an ocean side clifftop location the unspoiled white sands of Bali's Nunggalan Beach. Offering unparalleled panoramic sea views, Indian Ocean sunsets and a nightly canopy of stars, Villa Sol y Mar’s simple and chic design affords comfortable and luxurious beachside living, making it the perfect venue for friends or families to enjoy an indulgent Bali vacation – or an unforgettable location for a wedding celebration or other intimate event.
Sol y Mar is a fully staffed villa, including private chef, villa manager, butler, villa attendants and 24 hour security. Villa Sol y Mar is built on 1250 square meters of land a short drive from Bali’s most famous temple: Pura Luhur at Uluwatu. One enters Villa Sol y Mar through a tropical garden and ascends a white stone staircase flanked by a Study on the left and the Media Room to the right. At the top, a gasp of pleasure is the reaction as one gazes along the length of the private 13 meter infinity swimming pool to the azure sea and horizon beyond. A stunning vista that becomes the leitmotif and enduring image of a stay at Villa Sol y Mar.
To the left are two spacious Suites - the Master Suite facing the ocean and a Guest Suite overlooking the garden and featuring a private balcony. The main building on the right accommodates two more Suites – one featuring a day bed, the other a private balcony - plus the Dining-Living area at the front overlooking the ocean. An outdoor lounge comfortably accommodates guests for sunset cocktails or afternoon tea on the front terrace, while around the property various lounging areas tempt guests to choose a quiet spot for relaxation, contemplation or ocean gazing. Suites are tastefully furnished and feature Kingsize bed, writing desk and chair, safe, ensuite bathroom with shower, large wardrobes and wide screen televisions. The Master Suite also boasts a bathtub and dressing room plus a comfortable daybed.
Facilities at Villa Sol y Mar include Bose Speakers both inside and outside the living areas that easily connect to one’s own device. Alternatively guests may access the huge library of music, along with hundreds of movies, available through the villa’s state of the art digital library. A small fully-equipped kitchen adjoins the dining/living area of Villa Sol y Mar, however downstairs a large well-appointed staff kitchen enables the Chef or event caterers to prepare and serve meals without disturbing guests when they are in the living area.
Located as it is in a small, peaceful village not far from The Bulgari Resort, the villa is well situated for guests to visit the beautiful beaches of the peninsular as well as the many cafes and restaurants now abounding in the area and beyond. It is approximately 40 minutes drive from the airport, 30 from Nusa Dua and the Bali National Golf Club and 15 minutes to Uluwatu.
Nearby Beaches and cliff top Bars/Clubs
A small path beside Villa Sol y Mar leads down the hillside to the golden sands of Nunggalan Beach below. It is around a 15 minute steep walk down the hill along a small path through natural vegetation, and not for the old nor the infirm, but the rewards are manifold upon reaching the shores of Nunggalan Beach. Despite it being one of the most beautiful beaches in Bali, it is one of the most hidden and there are very few people other than a few surfers enjoying this beautiful spot.
Aside from Nunggalan beach, there are a few beaches we recommend you to visit:
Nyang-Nyang beach is on the bay adjacent to Nunggalan beach and the access is around 2 kms before Uluwatu temple. You can also walk from Nunggalan beach at very low tide. Padang-Padang Beach is a world famous surfing beach 15 mins drive from Villa Sol y Mar. It’s a very quaint beach but very popular. Balangan Beach is also a popular surfing beach around 30 ins drive from Sol y Mar. Finally, Nusa Dua area also has very nice beaches, mostly populated with the guests of the luxury resorts in the area but it has some stretches of beach with public access. Nusa Dua beach is around 30 mins drive from Villa Sol y Mar. It is ideal for swimming and snorkelling and has plenty of places to eat and drink while you enjoy the sea breeze.
There are also 2 beach clubs with very good infrastructure and F&B facilities, both a 20 mins drive from villa Sol y Mar and both offer day passes to daily guests.
