Deni - nothing is too much for you & your recommendation & booking were fabulous. The villa is a little bit of hidden paradise & with the team of drivers we have seen so much more of Bali, from surfing at Kuta & Batu Bolong to Finns Club, the recreation centre & Unesco Padi fields & temples. " MODERN LIVING WITH BALINESE CHILL OUT "
Astika Toyaning is a contemporary Balinese styled villa offering everything I wanted for a relaxing holiday break. Beautifully and cleverly designed to offer a mixture of “modern living” whilst encapsulating the essence of Balinese “chill out” culture and relaxation. As soon as I arrived through the doors of Astika Toyaning I felt instantly calm, relaxed and emotionally free. I rare thing indeed for me. The superb staff seem to telepathically appear when needed, performing requests with a pampering "style and a smile" service. The in-house chef, Nyoman appeared to be able to prepare and cook anything my heart desired, along with some dishes which I had not tried before. I have to say that all the dishes were beautifully presented and tasted absolutely delicious. The Villa itself is located away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta and Seminyak in a pretty little village (one road) called Pererenan. Pererenan itself offers pretty views of traditional Balinese buildings, beautifully surrounded by rice padi fields, which twist and turn you down to Echo beach on the west coast where sunbathers and surfers either play or relax in one of the many bars and restaurants along the coast. All in all, Astika Toyaning was a perfect place for me to stay, offering everything I wanted or needed. 10 / 10.

" WE STAYED AT VILLA ASTIKA FOR AN AMAZING 4 MONTHS "
It really is a superb villa with a large and inviting pool, beautiful gardens and a lovely breeze all year round. The media room is great and well stocked with games and dvds. There are plenty of kids toys, pool toys, and reading books. The food is amazing, be sure to discuss with head chef Nyoman his specialties and your likes, I recommend freshly delivered live lobsters cooked Mornay style, bbq snapper, vege spring rolls and outstanding satay. Super omelettes and smoothies as well!
What really makes this villa amazing, however, is it's incredible Balinese staff. You will see more smiles in a day in this villa than you will see in a year in Sydney. It is a true Balinese experience to get to know the staff a little. Made (Maday) tending to the garden, Ngura and Wayan looking after security, Gede from engineering. Suda the villa manager and 40th birthday parties organizer! Putu and Deni are the amazing housekeepers cum chefs who work tirelessly and merrily. And as I mentioned Nyoman is the head chef. To sum up Nyoman, and the attitude of the rest of the staff, a little story on Nyoman. On our recent return to Bali to a different permanent residence, I asked Nyoman if he would like to pick up some fruit,veges and 2 chickens if they had them from our favourite Sunday market (Samade) as we were arriving just after it closes. We arrived at the villa and Nyoman had delivered our supplies including 1 chicken. A week later at the Samade market I found out they had actually run out of chickens but Nyoman was told if all the pre orders aren't gone in another hour then maybe they will have a spare chicken, so he waited. This just sums up the extra effort villa Astika staff go to, even when you're sadly not a house guest any more.

We tried many villas in Canggu before finding THE VILLA!! For sure we will be back as soon as possible. Astika is really paradise on earth. Thanks to all the staff, we spent wonderful time in Bali. Nyoman is such a good chef cook, this year we stayed all dinners at the villa. We enjoyed all his food and he was happy to share his recipes. Thank you to Danni and Putuh for their kindness and wonderful service, the kids love them! All the staff from security, gardener and Kadek for his good address and safety drive. We are so sad today to leave this peaceful place! Many thanks from Thea, Phillippe and Stephanie. The Villa Astika Toyaning is amazing. We love u all of us.

" HOME AWAY FROM HOME "
We spend almost two weeks in Villa Astika Toyaning, and they were over before we knew it. We enjoyed every moment of it and we loved Nyoman's lovely cooking and the whole team spoiled us. We stayed over Christmas and New Year and the roads were very busy so if possible we stayed in at night. We would not have wanted it any different if that was not the case. Since we are from Holland we were already familiar with the Indonesian Cuisine and Nyoman made us every dish we asked for. Great were his salads, The Rendang, The staff and the Nasi Goreng. We will never forget. Thanks to Putu, Agung and Nyoman we will never forget our great vacation at Villa Astika Toyaning. Home away from Home! We will be back!

" 10 OUT OF 10!! "
Walking through the ornate front door our jaws dropped. We were greeted by an oasis of style warmth and that pool!! Deni was there smiling and handing us our cool towels and refreshing lime drink that became a staple sipper each day! Nyoman had prepared a sumptuous healthy meal( emailed a request the day before our arrival!) and we relished in the fact that this was to be our life for the next 10days. In fact the most difficult task was what to choose from the extensive menu each day! We settled into our huge well appointed rooms for the night, with a question of "what time would you like breakfast?" being our only task. Our children were in heaven , and whilst they frolicked in the pool, we swam our laps, read our books, drank our cocktails and waited to be called to each meal. The villa is perfectly set out especially for two families. Two separate wings are joined by Koi carp ponds and the dining room, so you can eat and watch your kids play in the pool safely. We were a party of 8 and we never felt cramped. We all had our favourite spots to relax and read, that was when we weren't having massages booked by Deni and performed in the media room! We chose astika because it was close enough but far enough from the bustle of Seminyak, and as Sydneysiders we believed we'd go out lots and sample the many restaurants that had been recommended to us, with the use of the worlds most friendly driver, Gede. Not so! One night out and although Mamassan was delightful, we all concluded dinner by our pool cooked to perfection by Nyoman was far better. Really, you don't want to leave this place. Putu and Deni cared for us with such grace and privacy that we felt that if we needed anything we could ask them. We are already trying to figure out when we can all return. 10 out of 10!

We loved our stay at Astika Toyaning once again. Once again, Nyoman did an excellent job preparing fabulous food. Nothing was too big an ask; his indonesian food is just delicious. Deni and Putu were both wonderful with our children and keeping the villa tidy and Made seemed to always be on hand for the upkeep of the garden and pool so a huge thank you to them all, as well as the lovely security guard.

Our first time in Bali. What a beautiful land with so much to other. Even though we have only experienced 9 Days here we have all learned so much culturally and have an appreciation for Balinese way of life. Thank you so very much Nyoman, Ari, Putu and Kadek, your individual care for us all has been so thoughtful. Your cullinary skills, your personal care, your driving skills (Sometimes Cheeky Driving!) the way in wich you keep Astika Villa looking so beautiful (Thank you Agung for keeping pool area always lovely). Thank you so very much to you all. I will always remember our stay here.
